Riddle #8

Prefers winter to summer
Likes mountains and the north alike
While traveling in packs they can appear as one
But when looking for twins there are none

Riddle #7

Has four legs
Occasionally two or three
Can hold your body
When tired you may be
If you long for its embrace
To it you may go
But when asked to return the favor
The answer is always no

Riddle #6

Whispers, growls, howls
Words unknown and lips unseen
Going high and coming low
Not knowing where it's been

Riddle #5

Dead but grows
Shines and glows
But it may fade away
As time goes on
Its color will change
Giving to some, sadness at that stage

Riddle #4

Always eats but never swallows
Taking in and spitting out
In its mouth it only carries
Continuing to move about
Never forward and never back will it ever go
If you signal for it, it will always show

Riddle #3

Telling stories of the past
For as long as it may last
Hides away during the day
But at night comes out to play

Riddle # 2

I adorn tips, tops, and edges
Giving life to that which I touch
There comes a time to leave my home
But onto it I clutch
If ever I should let it go
In my color it will show
From soft to hard I shall change
Crumbling and cracking, I may come to look quite strange
